CULT OF ABHOTH / LOVECRAFTIAN DOOM METAL

Cult Of Abhoth is a German instrumental doom metal band, which has made the musical processing of the works and stories of H. P. Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith and other authors of the early 20th century its theme. The songs aim to capture and depict the atmosphere and content of the stories through musical means, and although there are no vocals in the classic sense, Cult of Abhoth makes use of spoken passages that are meant to give additional expression to the unspeakable horror of the places and characters from the books. Cult of Abhoth was founded in mid-2018 by Angus (bass, vocals) and Sebastian (guitars, synths) in Mönchengladbach / NRW as a duo. In early 2019 the first teaser was released, followed just a little later by the track premiere of "Echoes from Mount Voormithadreth", which will be included as a bonus track on the debut release "Kadath Nightscapes". It is planned to add more musicians to the band in the future in order to expand the soundtrack of cosmic madness and to be able to experience it live.
